Bird on Po Toi Island
Taken at 1.51pm on 26 Aug 2014, 9 mins walk from the ferry pier on the country trail heading Nam Tam Wan.

Hard to say, but I would guess an ashy drongo- although just noticed it was in August so that would be very early. Perhaps the Crow-billed Drongo but the bill doesn't look as heavy in this photo.

Why isn't this a Black Drongo? It's hard to be entirely sure from this photo, but that should be the default species on Po Toi.

Yes, I zoomed in and it looked greyish but that is probably just foliage obstructing- black drongo should be the obvious choice; I assumed it was something unusual and posted for that reason. John knows what he's talking about!
