The last bird into the pond today was this female JAPANESE THRUSH

This female JAPANESE THRUSH is a daily visitor to the pond.... as she moves around, whenever she stops she bends her head down low & looks around as per the pic... apart from that she seems to move quite freely & bathe as well.... last year I saw the same "affliction" on a female Grey-backed Thrush.... is it a thrush specific thing? Anybody know what causes it?
