boat trips for seabirds on 23rd and 30th Aug 8月23或30日出海看海鳥

Dear All,

I would like to arrange boat trips on the 23rd and 30th of August. If you are interested, let me know which you would like to join.

As seabirds, and in particular petrels, have a tendency to come closer inshore in late afternoon, I propose to make these two trips afternoon and early evening trips from 2pm to 8pm (latest), Aberdeen to Aberdeen. There will be no stopping at Po Toi for these two trips.

At present the trip on the 23rd is provisional, as I don't have a boat confirmed yet (so do not come unless I confirm!).

We will try to arrange to carry some smelly fish oil again, as this seemed to prove quite successful in the spring. However, it is troublesome to produce, and so if anybody knows of a convenient way to obtain smelly fish oil, preferably liver oil from cod or shark, then please let me know. I propose to share the cost of providing this among everybody on the boat.

Due to insufficient interest, there will be [u]no boat trip on the 23rd[/u].

The planned trip on the 30th remains on, although it is not yet confirmed.

Please let me know if you are interested in a trip on the 30th, if you haven't already.

Incidentally, I plan to arrange boat trips on the first three Saturdays of September, which will include stopping at Po Toi. So, mark your diary!
