I visited Kam Tin both days again this weekend - the trip on Sunday to look for a possible Blyth's Pipit I'd found on Saturday morning. Unfortunately I haven't been able to relocate the bird and I'm not sure that I saw enough to rule out the possibility of a sinensis Richard's Pipit (although it was clearly different from a typical richardi)
Other highlights over the two days were:
Saturday (7 Oct)
Grey-headed Lapwing x18
Black-winged Stilt x2
Bonelli's Eagle x1
Common Kestrel x1
Red Turtle Dove x1
Red-rumped Swallow x1
White-cheeked Starling x6
White-shouldered Starling several small flocks
Zitting Cisticola x2
Bright-capped Cisticola x1
Asian Brown Flycatcher x4
Arctic Warbler x3
Yellow-browed Warbler x2
Also a Javan Mongoose - surprisingly the first I've seen here.
Sunday (8/10)
Black-crowned Night Heron x54
White-cheeked Starling x32
Plaintive Cuckoo x1
Yellow-breasted Bunting x1

The Radde's Warbler was seen at about 8.00 in the line of trees next to the abandoned houses near Shui Mei village fishponds. A different individual was seen today (10th) near the blue bridge between Sha Po and the Buffalo Fields.
In addition to Graham's birds, the following have been seen this week:

My regular visitts to Kam Tin continued until Friday (17th Nov). Highlights from the week 11th-17th were:
Common Teal - 8 on 12th (in buffalo fields), 42 on 13th (near Fung Kat Heung)
Garganey - 1 on 14th (surpringly my first at KT)
Greater Spotted Eagle - 1 on 11th, 1 on 12th
Grey-headed Lapwing - peak count 20
Greater Painted-snipe - known to be present at various locations, peak count of 9 was certainly an underestimate
Black-winged Stilt - peak count 25 in the main drainage channel
Spotted Redshank - still present until 17th
Common Greenshank - 1 on 14th and 17th
Red Turtle Dove - female on 11th
Red-rumped Swallow - 3 on 17th
Siberian Rubythroat - about 10 calling at dawn near the buffalo fields on 12th, surely lots more elsewhere!
Zitting Cisticola - 3 on 12th
Russet Bush Warbler - 1 on 11th
Little Bunting - 2 on 12th
Yellow-billed Grosbeak - peak count 12, sometimes even heard singing!
Unfortunately, a net was set up on 14th over the pond which had contained 42 teal the previous day, obviously an attempt to catch these birds.
I reported this to AFCD who have removed the net and a few duck have since returned (5 on 16th)
