May I request experienced birders to take a more thorough look at the photos taken to see whether this crake's left wing was injured?  I observed it for nearly 1 hour and its left wing seemed lowered than the right wing when folded and this has not been changed throughout my observation.

Many thanks and I hope the bird is fine.

今朝還在現場,觀察到牠左翼不時垂下,在草叢裡面有石壆牠也可以拍翼輔助飛起。

Yes, its left wing is certainly not totally normal. I have talked to the neighborhood and learnt that the bird has been there for couple of months already. So, I guess it might have suffered an injury and got stuck there.

若受了傷,希望各位同佢保持距離,不要追佢,等佢食多D嘢
又惹蚊,又要睇雀

More great pix!

There may be a problem with the left wing, but we also have several records of SLCs wintering in urban parks (Kowloon Park and Lai Chi Kok come immediately to mind). It may just be a scruffy bird!

Cheers
