I think the arrangement in Baifalin for photographing birdwatchers to sit in a hide is an excellent one.  With suitable lure, many good birds can be seen and photographed.  More important, local people now have a way to benefit from the protection of birds.  Now Baifalin has become a very hot spot for birdwatchers, about 200 per day stay in local hostels during the winter to early spring peak season. I hope many other Nature Reserves can start setting up hides for birdwatchers soon.

unfortunately, the Scarlet Finches don't come down to the hides, this was with guides, who carried our gear for us at a cost, and hiking for about 5-6km to a valley from the hostel.
