This sighting is interesting. All re-sighting records are important. The HKBWS should respect forum members' effort on reporting this sighting.

Unfortunately, the HKBWS does not check its own forum

From my understanding 2 Wigeon was tagged with GPS tracker by HKBWS this winter.

Re-sightings of any Tagged birds are important to us.

I was on leave recently, sorry for responding too late

This winter we tagged 2 Euraisan Wigeons and this is one of them.
This Eurasian Wigeon was tagged and released in Decemeber 2022.

Hopefully we will get more records and information from them.
These will help us know more about their behaviour, habitat preference and migration happens.

Just checked with ringers in Shenzhen, this is a bird released by the Shenzhen Wildlife Rescue Center earlier this month.
They are happy to see it is recovering well.
