[Sandpipers] Spotted Redshank 鶴鷸 A very red Spotted Redshank

Spotted Redshank 鶴鷸 A very red Spotted Redshank

This Redshank turned up yesterday at NSW with very red legs and bill. I wondered whether it could be a Spotted juvenile. Neil.

I think this is a Spotted Redshank, because of the black upper mendible and more slender looking bill.

I agree for juveniles by looking at the inner median coverts...

Not quite sure if it's common or spotted redshank though

I think this is an adult non-breeding (or possibly 1st-winter) Spotted Redshank.

I agree with DDavid and KMatthew. This is a Spotted Redshank.
