A great set of pix!

I love the second pic of the Coppersmith Barbet, the Brown Hawk Owl scowling at you, and the pix of the Skimmers with the Gharials - the spirit of India!

Great set of pics, makes you just want to go over there. Out of interest what camera and lens setup did you use?

thanks owen, mike & bob.  it's my pleasure to share with you  the pictures.  personally i love the woolly-necked stork because it has a cunning stare.

Great photos - I love the barbet that looks like its head is on upside-down!

One query though - I'm not sure that the woodpecker is yellow-crowned. It looks like a flameback to me. Possibly black-rumped judging by the whitespots on the throat and coverts?

John, you're definitely right !!!

I think I failed to capture any picture of the black-rumped flameback  therefore I presumed this is the yellow-crowned woodpecker.  Now, title corrected.

Thanks for pointing out my mistake.
