Dear all

I feel awfully painfull at acknowledging that Gray-headed Lapwings (last winter which I mean 2009 about ten) no longer stay at the 'Buffalo place' of Kam Tin with its surrounding areas becoming dry land instead of a piece of wetland that benefit birds enormously. There were years when I could count
four species of kingfisher there.

By the way, can somebody tell me if there are wintering G-h Ls in HK and where and also how many this winter?

Thanks a lot in anticipation.

I saw one Grey-headed Lapwing briefly last weekend in the channel just north of castle peak road on the way to Nam Sang Wai.
