很討厭人為了私慾而做盡各種損人利己的事，
更討厭為了私慾而去傷害其他生命，
不論是人眼中高貴的人命，
還是很多人眼中低賤的畜生命！

摘自台北鳥會討論區，：

這是鳥友於去年11月在野柳撿到日本樹鶯母鳥的屍體，
博覽會時交給台北鳥會日後製作標本用，
前幾天義工製作標本時竟然發現牠是被謀殺
將麵包蟲用* 珠針 *釘死，可憐的牠整枝吞下肚...最後一命烏呼！

台北鳥會嚴厲譴責此行為
希望拍鳥的朋友都能自制，
北鳥網站不歡迎，
用這種方式所拍攝的照片在此張貼。

為呈現出真實性，
會張貼出血腥照片...
還請各位大大能理解，
也請未成年的小朋友不要觀看本篇文章。

Wild Bird Society of Taipei (WBST) recently received a dead Japanese Bush Warbler and found something horrible. A pin was found in its stomach when voluntary workers were trying to make a specimen. It was discovered that the bird was killed by the pin, which was used for holding a meal worm.

The Wild Bird Society of Taipei strongly condemns such kind of activity and hope all bird photographers be self-disciplined. The WBST do not welcome photos to be post on its forum.

真可惡呀！唔同既價值觀，輕視別人意見，自以為所有野都UNDER CONTROL。悲劇就係咁發生。
未有事發生時就“巴茲幣 ”，相信同樣既故事還有很多！我地要強烈譴責呢D行為！

Jacky! 絕對認同你所說的!
人的私慾是最可怕的！一個自私的人，
為了私慾，會做很多事，去掩飾自己的惡行，
為了私慾，會說很多話去掩飾，或將其惡行合理化。
心痛的是，為了一張可有可無的照片，一條寶貴的小生命就此白白斷送了！

This reminds me of the sad situation we often encounter in Hong Kong where birds swallow fish hooks left around ponds in the Deep Bay area. This has sadly led to the suffering and death of birds in the past, including Black-faced Spoonbills. See the following links for examples:
