Does anyone know whether Steiner binocular is good for birdwatching?

If comparing with Zeiss or Leica binocular, will it be obivously not as good as them?

Thank you

The new Steiner Peregrine XP 8x44 and 10x44 have received good reviews by birdwatchers in Europe.

I would like to try out a pair. Where can you find them in Hong Kong?

about 9/F ~ 10/F of Sogo, you will find a shop selling them

Yes, Sogo 10th Floor, in the Victorinox shop.

They have the new Steiner 10x44, called Discovery. I tried them out.

Very good quality but very similar optically to my current pair, the Zeiss 10x42 FL. The Steiner is slightly heavier (+10%) but probably better finished than the Zeiss, mine is loosing it's rubber covering after 1 year of heavy use.

I would look at them if you are in the market for a high quality pair of binoculars. Quite expensive at HK$17,000 including discount but maybe you can find them cheaper on the internet or other shops.
