2012-Oct-04, 馬料水渡輪碼頭 (Ma Liu Shui Ferry Pier)

It has a broad white supercilium which is almost around the head.
This white supercilium and black eye stripe recall my memory of the previous record:

It was mobbed by a Collar Crow.
I felt that its length is about 80-90% of that of the Collared Crow.
(The right one is the Collar Crow)
牠正被一隻白頸鴉驅趕.
其長度大約是白頸鴉的80-90%.
(右邊的是白頸鴉)

From the picture of Northern Goshawk found in the book, I can't see the white dots on the upperpart plumage.
牠的背部有很多白點,但圖鑑的圖片卻沒有.

Interesting. The very prominent white supercilium immediately brings to mind Northern Goshawk, but given the barring on the underparts it would have to be an adult - and as the photographer says (after looking in the books), Northern Goshawk (adult plumage) never seems to have prominent white markings on the upperparts.

On the other hand, there are plenty of photographs showing Eurasian Sparrowhawk with such markings.

I would therefore tend to agree with lchunfai that this is a (juv?) female Eurasian Sparrowhawk.
