I think you have known it already that Nikon has a remote unit ML-L3 that can provide real-time wireless shutter release for the V1. The focusing plus shutter release action are pretty smooth, fast and more importantly fail-safe. See if the unit can speed up the shooting process and reduce vibration as well. Yes, I have the ML-L3 already. However, it could not pre-focus by slight press, which is very important to catch the right moment of action, such as eye-contact, etc..

Surprised to hear that but the days when I used it, I could focus with a slight press and take a shot by pressing the other half. Cannot check it out now as I have sold my gear.
