My wife and I will go to Manila for bird watching.  Just want to ask if insurance covers any accident happened during bird watching, e.g. snake bite, or falling down hurting self outside Hong Kong.  Of course I could ask the insurance company.  Appreciate any input.

I do not believe that bird watching is considered high risk activity ...

I have an annual travel insurence policy with royal and sun allience and they seem pretty decent.

I have claimed damage camera equipment, water damaged extender, and even ipad ...

Very good to hear about that.
Thanks for your reassurance.

But manila (the philippines) is still under BLACK travel alert by HK Govt.  Do insurance companies issue travel insurance policies for travelers to the philippines?  Or impose a surcharge?
