This photo shows two eagles who seemed to work together on the Little Egret kill. My impression was that they were both Imperials but one seemed much bigger than the other.  They took turns at eating the egret too as if one was a juvenile being shown what  to do. Neil.

The bird on the right is a Bonelli's Eagle - it is not only smaller but also less bulky than the other bird, with a small head, long neck and long feathered legs. The overall ginger tone to the plumage indicates a 1st-winter bird.

Judging by the completely dark plumage, the other bird looks to me like an adult spotted eagle rather than an imperial.
