Short pale eyebrow barely overhanging the supraorbital ridge, whitish underbody sparsely streaked, thickening towards belly. Upperbody dark brown.Undertail pale but subterminally dark banded discernible.
Other interesting points are whitish leading edge of wing, blackish underwing coverts and thick trailing edge sandwiched by dark spotted parts. Also brown face and darker-browned crown. Rufous tinged light coloured tarsus.
Powerful bill parts,strong tarsus,toes and claws all indicating it being a powerful local predator of the air.
