Subject: [Eagles] Eastern Marsh Harrier or Pied Harrier? [Print This Page]

Photos below were taken in different time on 2013-09-25 at Mai Po. Are both of them Eastern Marsh Harrier? As I saw that there are Pied Harrier and Eastern Marsh Harrier saw in these few days, so I am not sure how to distinguish the two.

看過台灣出版的猛禽圖鑑,,,,,,
頭一幅相頭部偏白,,,眼四周冇輻射紋,,,應該似係EASTERM MARSH HARRIER雌鳥或幼鳥
第二幅相腹部褐色比較勻一,,,,,若是鵲鷂雌性腹部會有明顯白斑,,,相信這一隻也是EASTERN MARSH HARRIER,,,,有錯請指正,,,,!!^^

First bird is Pied second Eastern Marsh.

May I ask why? I thought the 1st photo has creamy white face is Eastern Marsh
