I watched a Light-vented (Chinese) Bulbul this afternoon. It was tearing off pieces of a Bougainvillea leaf and eating them. HBW Alive states that food is: variety of berries, small figs (Ficus), soft fruit and vegetables; also insects.....  I noticed though that the leaves all had leaf-mines and I wondered whether the bulbul was looking for tiny larvae. Just a passing observation.

John, real bulbuls don't eat quiche. Or salad.
