An earliest autumn record by 9 days.

Both Brambling and Black-headed Bunting - see here

have become much more commonly recorded in Hong Kong since 2008/2009.

Can anyone explain why?

I heard from a friend that they just had their first record of Brambling in Shanghai, so this may well be the odd one out ..
