A lady fork-tailed sunbird perched on an ivory coral tree in the afternoon of March 19th at Taipokou.  It pressed its head inward to the scarlet long tubular petals to pull out a tiny thread and swallowed it whole.  The ivory coral tree provides every necessity to the sunbird.

The 'tiny thread' you refer to is it's tongue.
