A Fairy Pitta observed today at near mid point of Brown Walk around 11am for about 3 minutes before disappearing up the slope.

Congratulations Matthew, well worth the effort!

This is the second Fairy Pitta in HK already this year - one was around HKU last weekend, I've seen a photo.
I wonder how many are hiding out there unseen?

Thanks Christina and Geoff, yes the bird was quite cooperative and didn't seem nervous at all! I am sure many passes through Hong Kong unnoticed! Hopefully this vulnerable species can hang on there for many generations to come!
