A good day at Long Valley, plenty to see. Best birds were a pair of Japanese Yellow Buntings. Also saw Bluethroat x1 and Large Hawk Cuckoos calling.

Red-necked Phalarope x1

Red-throated Pipit

Buff-bellied Pipit x1

Japanese Yellow Bunting x2

Chestnut-eared Bunting x1

Oriental Practincole x15 (12 stationary, 3 flying)

Splendid ! It looks like "colourful pipit season" is here, and the Japanese Yellow Buntings are great, too.
