Thank you.

It surprises me that apparently more beaches in Hong Kong aren't like this, especially when Peng Chau Tung Wan has hundred of tourists and clammers digging on it every weekend/holiday.

I never think that we can find shore birds in Peng Chau.  Are they here at this time of year? Also now it is already in mid-May, can we still have chance to find them?

When I lived in Yung Shue O in Sai Kung I was regularly at the shore and rarely saw waders.  Whimbrel, grey-tailed tattler, common sandpiper, phalarope and a greenshank were all I managed in 2 years.  Surprising as there was often a lot of mud /sand exposed.

Today, 5/15 was the first day I haven't seen any shore birds on Tung Wan beach in 2018. Another gray-tailed tattler appeared on May 5th, but that's the last besides the common sandpiper and little ringed plover which have been resident/semi-resident since December. (Besides the herons/egrets, the only shore bird seen so far this year not pictured is the Kentish Plover which arrived in 1s and 3s in bad weather in Jan/Feb)
