A flock of Laughingthrush (5-6 individuals) was found in Mui Tsz Lam Tsuen this morning.
Two unknown Laughingthrushs look like Black-Throated Laughingthrush.
Please ID. Thanks so much!!

The browner birds resemble Hainan Laughingthrush, formerly considered the monachus race of Black-throated Laughingthrush.

Actually some wild Hainan Laughingthrushes are darker than these brownish ones, so there may be some interbreeding here in HK between the two forms.

I have just found that the Hainan Laughingthrush belongs to CAT III in List of Hong Kong Birds.
Agree that these may be the interbreeding between two forms.
