Thanks John.

C3 was ringed in Nov-21. This is the 20th sighting, all from Mai Po Boardwalk.

V1 was just ringed the week before on 17-Apr.

The single yellow flagged Greater Sand Plover is from Eighty Mile Beach, North-west Australia, the hint being that the metal ring is on left tarsus. At Mai Po, we put "everything" on right leg.

Hi Katherine,

Thanks for the clarification - I hadn’t considered that the metal rings might be on left leg for Australia, right for HK.

Noted !

No worries!
Not 100% always the case but "usually" metal ring position is a good clue to mystery flagged birds
