DD - ringed on 16-Dec-2020 as adult; only reported 3 times in Oct-21 at Shenzhen, Mar-22 and Aug-23 at Mai Po.

HZ - ringed on 10-Sep-21 as adult; only reported 5 times in Oct-21 at Shenzhen, Mar-22, Nov-22 and Aug-23 at Mai Po.

NN - 29-Apr-22 as adult; last seen by you in Jan-25.

NY - 2-Sep-22 as 1st winter bird; 9 records from Mai Po; last seen Apr-24; 1st report of this 2024-25 season.

PC - 2-Sep-22 as 1st winter bird; last seen by you in Jan-25.

UP - 28-Sep-22 as 1st winter bird; last seen by you on 8-Feb.

UU - 28-Sep-22 as adult; last seen by you in Jan.

VA - 26-Nov-22 as adult; last seen by you on 8-Feb.

W8 - 5-May-20 as adult; 14 reports from Mai Po; last seen in Aug-24.

XE - 30-Sep-23 as adult; this is the 1st record after 1.5 years!

Y5 - 20-Sep-20 as 1st winter bird; last seen by you on 2-Feb.

Z1 - 20-Sep-20 as 1st winter bird; 12 reports from Mai Po, Shan Pui River and Shenzhen; last seen Aug-24.

Pied Avocets:

B5 - 3-Apr-22 as 1st winter bird; only report once on 7-Apr-22; and it is carrying a satellite transmitter under tracking project of the HKBWS: https://www.facebook.com/photo/? ... t=a.755732204516154 . Signal shows that it uses Wenzhou, Zhejiang as possible breeding site in summer.

B9 - 25-Jan-23 as 1st winter bird; last seen by you on 8-Feb.

Y2 - 14-Jan-21 as adult; last seen by you on 25-Jan-25.

Y4 - 14-Jan-21 as adult; only 2 reports in Feb-23 at Mai Po; last seen 2 years ago on 23-Feb-23.

Thank you for all these nice records away from Mai Po, this really shows how big the home range these birds have in Deep Bay!
