Immature Black-capped Night Heron got a bit of a surprise as it made for the large rock in front of the Man Fung Restaraunt, when it suddenly noticed me in waiting........

Appears just a touch soft. Perhaps it's the critical focusing that you missed ...

KK,

Yes the focus maybe slightly off, the Heron was bobbing up and down on the floating cable. This is almost full frame at 45 metres (according to Google Earth) and is manual focus. Still I shouldn't be making excuses.

I visited this hot spot today. I share your view it is very difficult to get a tack sharp focus as the Black-Crowned Night Heron stood on the floating object.
