原來遠自 1981 年塔門已經有黑枕燕鷗的紀錄：
"The first acceptable report of Black-naped Tern is now considered to be that of a single bird at Ting Kau on 2 August 1979 during the passage of Typhoon Hope. The next reports concerned two near Tap Mun on 25 April 1981 and near Tai A Chau ... " (p. 281, The Avifauna of Hong Kong)
