A brief test on this new camera today but sorry not on birds
Canon 50D
EF 400 f5.6L
Extension tube EF 12 II
Auto ISO, Autofocus, handheld, large JPEG
Post-process - Photoshop CS2 unsharp mask & level adjustment, Neat image 5.0 noise reduction
Both pictures cropped 100%

Sorry, tell us what you're trying to test?
Image quality, high ISO noise, AF speed and accuracy etc?!

i agree that photos processed in photoshop(and neatiamge) cannot clearly reflect the performance of the camera.
Especially If the noise control performance is one of the criteria to be tested.
