The Eurasian wigeon in this picture shows clearly a large area of green colour behind the eye.  Is this a variation of the pure form or is it a hybrid wigeon?  Is this green colour common among the Eurasian wigeons?

The green patch behind the eye is actually not unusual among male Eurasian Wigeon. It seems to be slightly commoner in Asia than in Europe (so it is not very well documented in a lot of literature about the species). I see no evidence for hybridisation in this bird.
