Why the feather looks better in your photos, Peter!?

Really due to the light rain in the early morning?

I think it was the early morning rain that made the bird look very worn.

But we went to see it again in the afternoon and amazingly the feathers look a lot better.

Your last photo showed quite good feathers! So it is more likely to be a wild bird?
