Vegetables are not the key diet of most open country birds at Long Valley.

In some situation, e.g. cold and wet weather, like those around Chinese New year, bulbuls do eat flowers and fresh leaves, but mostly at hillside orchards

Prior to the discussion, I suggest we verify the damage. Also, it is interest to know whether crop protection measures have been undertaken.
