Long Valley 3rd and 4th Nov 2012 record photos

Happy to see Russet Sparrow male and female at 3rd Nov. At 4th Nov, found one Rose Pipit, one Rustic Bunting and one Black-headed Bunting.

I keep thinking the male Russet Sparrow looks wrong. Now realize it is a male House Sparrow.

I guess the Record Committee isn't going to like that!

And the female looks like a House Sparrow too.

On the contrary, I think the Records Committee might really like that.
It's the people wanting to tick Russet Sparrow that might not like it!

True, one of those people hoping to tick it would be me. It makes me wonder about the Rustic Bunting too which arrived on the same day and place as the two House Sparrows.

Dear Mr Brendan,

Thank you so much for the correction !

I corrected it accordingly.

Best regards,
John

Unless of course the House Sparrows are of the migratory form bactrianus and are genuinely wild...
