A leafbird perched prominently on a chinese new year flower plant Enkianthus quinqueflorus on the sixth day of the Year of the Horse.  Its vibrant iridescent coloured plumage grew with the crimson flowers brightened up the Taipokau Nature Reserve.  The blue-winged leafbird welcomes the new year.
