It was interesting to note that the male sometimes would wag its tail like a dog.

Red-breasted Merganser 紅胸秋沙鴨
It's interesting to note that the female's eye-ring was black instead of white as shown on "The Birds of HK & South China".

Some interesting birds up there !  Perhaps we'll get lucky next winter and see one or two down here in HK.

Seems like a pretty unique place to bird with all the birds around the sea of buoys.

I envy you those Long-tailed Duck - haven't seen one for 20-odd years!
