What kind of heron?

Question about Heron: I don't know if you are able to help, but I have been watching for the last half hour a very attractive heron stalking the rocky shore of Sheung Sze Wan. We commonly get grey herons and a variety of white herons, and have a pair of pond herons, but this particular heron I have not seen before: about the size and stocky build of a pond heron, it has an attractive chestnut brown head and chest, grey/black back feathers, and a cream/white underbelly and wings. Its beak is distinctive - mainly yellow, but with the last inch black. Legs are pale yellow. I would be really grateful to know the name of the species. kind regards, David Dodwell
