Hi all, During my recent trip to Hong Kong, I took my digicam around to photograph the birds I saw there. I have placed some of the photos in the following page and would be grateful if someone in HKBWS could help me confirm/correct the ID of the birds, especially the one which I caption as "unknown bird". http://www26.brinkster.com/tangwk/photo_index.asp?cat=Photo_nature_HK_20 03 Thanks in advance. Hi Tang All your ID is correct except that the Oriental Skylarks are in fact Zitting Cisticola (Fantail Warbler). The unknown bird is arather starnge plumage variation of Siberian Stonechat. Cheers Mike

Thanks a lot , Mike. I have one more question. I saw a tiny bird ~14 cm with orange-red colour from throat to belly, in Tai Po Kau. I didn't have the time to capture it on camera. What bird could it be? Thanks again Tang
