A trip to Taipokau on Monday 22/12 produced the following - all along the Red Road and before the outdoors centre.   1 Japanese Robin (male) 5 Asian Stubtails 1 Rufous-faced Warbler: A bird that rarely ceased     hovering with rapid wingbeats - even like a hummer -   showing the wide cream rump band. The stubbly beard   was separated from the bright orange face by a white moustache. 1 White's Thrush 20+ Striated Yuhina 1 Blyth's Leaf Warbler 1 'Golden Spectacled Warbler'    Which is the bird I would like to have some help on.      The bird had an eyering broken above, which was yellowish white, similar to the colour of the lores (so that the eyering looked thicker behind, reminiscent of Dark-sided Flycatcher). The head was a bright olive continuing all the way to the back, the wings having two faint yellow wingbars, the lower more prominent; the tail had greyish-white outertail feathers. The underparts were a brilliant yellow all the way to the vent, and the bill was black on the upper and orange on the lower mandible. The crown stripes were dull black and the central crown stripe was olive-grey, different from the colour of the face, which is olive. The feet are orange. I had a good view for two minutes while it sat and preened the breast and back before disappearing.    Would experienced birders please help with the ID? I've try to photograph him for a while now, you are very luck to see him for such a long time. My viewing time usually amount not more than afew seconds! Anyway here some photos of this little fellow.
