Hi Larry
I suggest you start by obtaining a copy of the Birds of Hong Kong and South China - the field guide for Hong Kong. This illustrates all the birds you mention and has supporting text to help you note the key features. You could also look at photos in the following places.
1. Photo gallry on this website
2. some of the links from this site
3. Oriental Bird Images a website with pictures of Asian birds.
