Sorry, Pippen, why isn't this a juvenile Greater Coucal? I am not sure myself, but that is what I would guess. The vegetation on the background suggest Greater Coucal habitat. HF Cheung

I agree with Ho Fai: - Lesser Coucal juvenile would have a browner head and the dark bars on the tail would be more rufous. Also, whilst it is hard to tell from a photo of a single bird, it seems to big and especially to heavy-billed for Lesser. Mike Leven
