I am inclined to think that this is a Black Drongo except for several points: 1. A Magpie once flew close and allowed a comparison. The bird was tiny! (a bit on the small side for a drongo, I'd say) 2. The bill seems a bit too thin (perhaps it's angle) 3. The wings were quite long... Comments welcomed! Sorry about the backlighted photos. I agree that this is a Black Drongo The tail of Drongo Cuckoo should be square-tipped, while many Black Drongo are moulting at present, giving a few strange patterns at this time of year. Also there is no sign of barring on the undertail coverts. Cheers Mike K
