Bright-capped usually shows a strong contrast between darker flanks and a pure white belly/throat.   The base colour of the crown is buffish. Bright-capped tends to show a greyer crown which contrasts with the more orange cheeks.   The tail-pattern is typical of zitting, with pale tips and a darker sub-terminal band.  I think the tips are actually rather than brown (especially on the outer tail)   There is slight contrast between the ear coverts and the rest of the head, creating a hint of a supercilium.  The head pattern of zitting is variable - most show a contrasting pale supercilium but some are much buffer.   The location also favours zitting (bright-capped is rare in the lowlands, whereas zitting is very common at Long Valley)   Incidentally, this bird appears to be calling. Do you remember what it sounded like?
