Uniform brown upperwings and long banded tail (centre top). 2. Absence of facial disc, and white feathering around the bill and prominent  eyes (centre top) 3. Distinctively streaked underparts (upper left & right, bottom centre & right) 4. Bulging secondaries consistent with flight illustration in old Japanese guide 5.
