The feather demage looks pretty bad on this bird, should be a escape or released. But was it afraid of human or shy??

hi Faclon, i thought it is possible not a escape or released. I just discussed with Thomas Chan. We saw a two lesser necklaced laughingthrush there. Thomas took the other one with a pretty feather. it's not same as mine.

That would be very good news if it isnt a caged bird!! i am not sure if there are any wild record of this bird in HK, as i look at the range of this bird, and it say it is spread from Nepal to S China (except HK). There might be a possibility that these two birds were released together, as there are often mass released of caged birds in HK. Even though Lesser Necklaced Laughingthrush are rarely use for releasing, comparing to Sparrows and Munias. I would like to hear from some experts, who can answer our questions.
