They are two different birds, of course. The top one is a Stonechat, Common (Siberian), I think - it looks too warm above for White-tailed Saxicola leucura, which may be in Xinjiang - I'm not sure. Is Hodgson's S. insignis there? If so the white on what I think are the primary coverts may be relevant as Hodgson's shows this feature. The second bird is a pipit. This one is quite easy I think - it's in a tree so it is a Tree Pipit Anthus trivialis, which again I'm assuming has a Xinjiang distribution. For me it doesn't show any features to make it any other species, and the bill is too heavy looking for Meadow A. pratensis. Again look forward to hearing other views. Mike Turnbull
