車 八 嶺 之 旅(下 集 )
A) 有 趣 的 觀 鳥 點
在 06/01天 氣 實 在 差 極 了 ! 大 雨 加 雪 ， 溫 度 在 0C 左 右 。 只 能 在 這 些 “有 瓦 遮 頭 “ 的 地 方 活 動 ， 有 以 下 的 發 現 ：
- 廚 房 外 ： 2 種 燕 尾 、 褐 河 烏 、 紅 尾 水 鴝 ( 公 / 母 ) 、 冠 魚 狗 、 柳 鶯 、 黑 鵯 、 藍 尾 、 紅 尾 鴝 ( 公 / 母 )…
- 博 物 館 三 樓 的 走 廊 ： 會 有 意 外 收 獲 ， 如 黑 枕 綠 啄 木 鳥 在 枯 樹 上 ， 和 灰 樹 鵲 從 兩 邊 不 斷 地 巡 邏 飛 翔 。 這 是 一 個 視 野 很 寬 的 點 值 得 一 試 。
- 房 間 的 小 露 台 ： 也 有 很 寬 的 視 野 ， 特 別 是 黃 昏 時 有 機 會 看 見 不 同 的 鳥 群 回 巢 。
B) 必 要 去
- 百 鳥 林 ： 走 博 物 館 後 的 小 徑 ， 留 意 鳥 浪 ， 會 有 收 獲 如 橙 腹 葉 鵯 、 綠 翅 短 腳 鵯 ….
- 橋 ： (從 賓 館 到 核 心 區 的 途 中 ，行 車 的 橋 ) 注 意 橋 兩 邊 的 河 和 山 邊 的 樹 。 視 野 開 寬 ， 看 得 舒 服 ， 不 用 挺 腰 仰 鏡 。 班 頭 大 魚 狗 、冠 魚 狗 、 燕 尾 、 水 鴝 、 和 不 同 的 鳥 浪 。
- 公 路 – 從 賓 館 至 橋 這 一 段 ， 多 注 意 兩 旁 很 大 機 會 有 紅 頭 長 尾 山 雀 、 灰 眶 雀 眉鳥 、 紅 咀 藍 鵲 …..
- 橋 到 核 心 區 – 注 意 鳥 浪 ， 黑 鵯 、 栗 頭 鳳 眉鳥 、 栗 翅 短 腳 鵯 …
鳥 況 總 結
因 為 第 一 天 下 大 雨 + 雪， 在 這 兩 天 中 沒 有 看 到 一 隻 猛 禽 的 影 子 ( 可 能 天 氣 太 差 勁 ) 。 加 上 鳥 功 尚 淺 ， 一 共 錄 得 45 種 ， 對 我 們 3 名 新 丁 已 很 滿 意 。
有 用 的 經 驗
-帶 備 軟 廁 紙 (一 定 需 要 )、零 食 、 水 果 …. ， 因 為 最 近 的 商 店 在 20 公 哩 以 外 (賓 館 冬 天 沒 有 小 賣 部) ， 公 仔 麵 和 水 果 可 以 在 始 興 買 。
-去 之 前 查 天 氣 ( www.f7online.com , 這 web site 的 預 測 非 常 準 確 )
-有 任 何 問 題 可 以 找 張 新 旺 先 生 ， 他 一 定 給 您 們 幫 忙 。
-房 間 是 有 分 體 式 空 調 供 應 微 弱 的 暖 風 (有 等 於 無 ) ， 但 如 果 實 在 太 冷 可 通 知 張 先 生 安 排 “Home made heater” –“炭 盆” ( 注 意 保 持 空 氣 流 通 )。
-廚 房 旁 是 好 地 方 作 為 開 始 和 每 次 用 餐 前 後 必 要 停 留 的 地 方 ， 一 定 “有 料 到”， 起 碼 一 對 紅 尾 水 鴝 跟 我 們 打 招 呼 。
-建 議 坐 深 圳 至 韶 關 的 火 車 (K583/ 1016 ETD 1552 ETA) ， 出 發 和 到 達 時 間 最 好 。 去 程 火 車 (HK$141-)) 票 可 以 在 中 旅 買 票 ， 回 程 火 車(K584/ 1043 ETD 1600 ETA RMB128-) 票 可 以 在 到 達 韶 關 時 買 ( 不 包 括 在 中 國 長 假 期 內 )。
-請 千 萬 預 留 時 間 給 張 新 旺 先 生 安 排 去 看 車 八 嶺 的 神 秘 明 星 “海 南 虎 班 鳽” 的 影 子 ( 如 在 冬 天 請 穿 多 一 點 )。
-一 定 要 點 的 菜 ： 山 上 的 鮮 冬 菇 、 山 水 荳 腐 ( 用 苗 族 種 的 大 荳 )、 特 別 是 菜 頭 ….. 好 味 !

“ 物 有 所 值 “ ( 多 種 香 港 稀 有 的 林 鳥 、 好 客 的 職 員 、 清 潔 的 房 間 、 鮮 味 的 三 餐 、 特 別 清 新 的 空 氣 ) ，值 得 再 去 ， 祝 大 家 有 更 多 的 收 獲 。

Remarks :
A) Interesting spots
-Outside kitchen, Corridor on 3rd floor of the Museum, The balcony in your room
B) Place must go - “Hundred Birds Forrest” (trail behind the Museum), Bridge – the main road to Kernel Area, Road from Headquarter to the bridge
C) Useful Experience
-Bring soft toilet paper (must) , snacks; fresh fruit…the nearest shop is 20+KM away ( the shop attached to the hotel is closed in winter) . We bought them in Shixing.
-Check the weather forecast (www.f7online.com, good forecast but only in Chinese)
-Good assistance from Mr. Zhang Xin Weng, Manager of Tourist Department,
-Warm air from the air conditioner in your room is too weak. If you still feel very cold, please ask Mr. Zhang to arrange a “home made heater” in your room (take care of the carbon monoxide).
-It is very convenient to buy the ticket to Shaoguan (K584 1016/1552 HK$141-) through China Travel Service in Hong Kong . Return ticket (K583 1043/1600 RMB128-) is easily bought when u arrive Shaoguan (except during the public holidays in China).
-Reserve sometime to let Mr. Zhang Xin Weng brings you to see the mysterious shadow(s) of “White Eared Night Heron (Hainanhubanjian)”.
-Must try the fresh mushroom, bean curd/tofu ( use the local big bean from the “Miao” minority), special recommended the lower part of a vegetable ( I don’t know in English but you just say “CAI TOU” they will understand).

Due to the very bad weather and not much experience in birding, 45 species is quite satisfy to us.. Chebarliang is a nice place to recommend for a short break and it is worth for the price. Hope you will have a nice holiday and good birding in Chebarliang.
