Birding in Central London

I shall go to London on 30th Jan mainly for business. I shall probably have only a few hours spare daytime for birding. Can anybody suggests me some good birding sites in Central London that can be reached by underground rail ? Are urban parks such as Hyde Park and Regent Park good sites to see Goldcrest/Firecrest or Common Starling or even Mandarin Duck and Robin ? All I know are a few Ravens in Tower of London. Thanks. Bernard.

Dear Bernard, Hyde Park should be a good place to see Jays, Crows, abundant Common Starlings, Grebes, Ducks, and Gulls. Goldcrest can be seen in urban parks too, but Firecrest seems unlikely in midwinter. Anyway, good Luck!

I've heard that a reconstructed wetland in London (at Barnes?) is worth visiting. Richard
