Since more & more members like to watch birds at Nam Wai & Hung Chung, may I here introduce a interesting way to have birds watching in those places? The way we tried was to hire a small boat (only $50 for whole day)from Pak Sha Wan Pier. After rowing for around 25 mintues, We landed and set up our own hides with all our camera and fildscopes on the wetland connected to the former salt pans. From that check point we can observe up to 80% area of Nam Wai & Hung Chung. Besides, it was also an ideal place to watch most of water birds in such a short distance. Is it interesting and creative? I believe it would be so funny and exciting if HKBWS could arrange a trip like that with dozens of small boat. Think about that ! However, don't forget to bring some water proof bags and check the tide before going there! See you there!
