Migration at Mai Po

Since the arrival of the cold front on Tuesday morning many birds have appeared. The last two mornings at Mai Po have been very productive. In addition to the Jacanas and the Amur Falcons my personal records include: 2 Black-shouldered kite (copulating) 1 Gt Spotted Eagle 1 Bonelli's Eagles 1 Pied Harrier (others have had 2 more) 2 Grey-headed Lapwing 4 Red-throated Flycatchers 5 Asian Brown Flycatcher (other have seen 5 more) 3 Black-faced Spoonbill 2 Wryneck 1 Yellow-breasted Bunting Many thanks to the ringing group for: 1 Styan's Grasshopper Warbler 1 Manchurian Reeed Warbler 1 Lanceolated Warbler 1 Pallas's Grasshopper Warbler 1 Siberian Rubythroat (male) 1 Two-barred Greenish Warbler Also many duck and starlings have arrived.
